The Detroit Lions have finished with a winning record in four-straight seasons. Having missed the playoffs last year at 9-8, though, Detroit still managed to keep this streak alive. Across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, the Lions won the NFC North with 12-5 and 15-2 seasons.

As long as the injuries and defense can regress to the mean, the Lions will be just fine in 2026 and should end up being plenty good enough to win the division for the third time in four seasons. Beyond that, a Super Bowl run is also on the team's mind.

And as we have seen in recent years, the Lions have assembled a star-studded group thanks to the sharp skills of General Manager Brad Holmes. That also got us thinking, too; which current Lions players are most likely to make the Hall of Fame one day? We ranked those players here.

Ranking most likely Detroit Lions players to make the Hall of Fame

5. Jahmyr Gibbs

Only set to play in his age-24 season in year four, Jahmyr Gibbs is a three-time Pro Bowler with 5,029 scrimmage yards and 49 touchdowns. He's averaging 17 touchdowns across a 17-game season and has just under 3,600 rushing yards.

Given his youth, Gibbs' prime could just now be getting started, and with his skill set being that of a slot receiver and running back, the yards and Pro Bowls could continue to come. We'd likely need to see Gibbs continue to be a top-3 football throughout the rest of his 20s, which would be another six seasons.

At that point, Gibbs could end up being well over 10,000 scrimmage yards and might be flirting with 10 Pro Bowls as well.

4. Aidan Hutchinson

A two-time Pro Bowler through four seasons, Aidan Hutchinson is a top pass-rusher in the NFL, with 43 career sacks in 56 regular season games. He's also added 44 tackles for loss and 100 quarterback hits.

Across a 17-game season, Hutchinson is averaging 13 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and 30 quarterback hits. One huge thing that goes in his favor is that he is a pass-rusher, a position that has essentially become the quarterback of the defense.

Adding a Defensive Player of the Year award in the future with more gaudy stat seasons would then put him on a Hall of Fame radar.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown

Amon-Ra St. Brown already has four Pro Bowls and two All-Pro nods, so the foundation of being a Hall of Famer one day is there. Not yet 27 years old, St. Brown is in an ideal situation as Jared Goff's top target in an elite offense.

Through five years, St. Brown already has 547 receptions and 6,252 yards, having missed just two games in his career. Based on what he's done thus far, he'll be on pace to hit 10,000 receiving yards during his eighth season in the league. Given his sheer production and individual accomplishments thus far, there is a runway for St. Brown to have a Hall of Fame career.

2. Jared Goff

Now a five-time Pro Bowler, Goff is approaching a ton of key milestones. He's 10 wins away from 100 in the regular season, under 400 yards away from 40,000, and 44 passing touchdowns away from 300.

He's also only set to play in his age-32 season, which is still rather young for a pocket quarterback. Goff could be in a position to be very high up on some all-time categories like yards and touchdowns. He's averaging 4,461 yards and 29 touchdowns across a 17-game season.

If he keeps that up for just another three years, he'd be at 53,005 yards and 343 passing touchdowns, putting him on the cusp of being top-10 in passing yards and 13th in passing touchdowns.

Goff's longevity could do him a ton of favors here, as the counting stats could almost force a Hall of Fame nod, but winning a Super Bowl is a big thing here and would go a long way in a Hall of Fame career.

1. Penei Sewell

Based on how the first five seasons have gone, it might actually be shocking if Penei Sewell didn't make the Hall of Fame. He's missed just two games in his career, and through five seasons, he has four Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro nods, which have come in the last three seasons.

He's also only turning 26 years old in October, so there is a chance that Sewell could sustain this level of play for another decade. Like the quarterback position, the offensive line is another position where players can enjoy a longer prime

San Francisco 49ers' left tackle Trent Williams was a first-team All-Pro as recently as 2023, his age-35 season. Sewell is now also likely to remain on the left side of the offensive line, and it's simply easier for left tackles to get more attention, as they're protecting the blindside, so the position switch is also going to help his case as well.
