Victory Monday was dampened by a long list of injuries for the Detroit Lions coming of their Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Linebacker Derrick Barnes and defensive end Marcus Davenport were both put on IR this week, and center Frank Ragnow is set to miss Week 4 after it was revealed he also suffered an injury against the Cardinals. Some notable players practiced on Thursday though, including Brian Branch and Alex Anzalone.

The Seahawks come to Ford Field with a 3-0 record under new head coach Mike Macdonald. Seattle has the No. 1 pass defense in the league through three weeks, and they are No. 2 in total defense.

Against the grain of what they did during the Pete Carroll era, Seattle has been airing the ball out to start the season (No. 3 in the league in passing offense).  Running back with Kenneth Walker missing the last two games feels like a big factor in that, but they also have three excellent wide receivers (DK Metcalf, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Tyler Lockett).  This may be the toughest receiving corps the Lions will see all season. Getting pressure on Geno Smith will be key to helping the secondary slow down the Seahawks' passing attack.

As far the the Lions offense goes, there will be some changes on the offensive line to work around with Ragnow out. But expect the running game, led by David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, to be a focal point of the offense again this week.

On this week's episode of the "Not The Same Old Lions Podcast", we dive in and preview the Lions' Monday night matchup against the Seahawks.
