One of the most exciting ways to bet on the NFL is in the prop market, especially when it comes to standalone primetime games.

That’s what we have in Detroit in Week 8 as the Detroit Lions host the Las Vegas Raiders. The Lions are looking to get a bounce-back win after losing in Week 7, and there’s a few ways they can do it.

Leaning on Jahmyr Gibbs is one of them, and he’s one of my favorite prop targets for Week 8. You can bet on him at FanDuel Sportsbook, who is offering a great promo for new users this NFL season!

Here are my favorite prop picks for Week 8’s Monday Night Football matchup:

Raiders vs. Lions best NFL prop bets for Week 8

  • Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 65.5 rushing yards
  • Sam LaPorta anytime touchdown scorer
  • Jakobi Meyers OVER 4.5 receptions

Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 65.5 rushing yards

Jahmyr Gibbs stepped in for David Montgomery for the second time this season, rushing for 68 yards on 11 carries in the blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

In his other start with Montgomery out, Gibbs carried the ball 17 times for 80 yards. Now he takes on a Raiders team that allows the 11th most yards per carry in the NFL (4.4) this season.

Gibbs should see more than 11 carries if Detroit can stay in this game, so don’t be shocked if he puts up a big game on the ground and clears this rushing total.

Sam LaPorta anytime touchdown scorer

With Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown favored to score a touchdown this week, I don’t mind taking a shot on Sam LaPorta at plus money to find the end zone.

The Lions rookie tight end has three scores on the season, and he has a solid role in the offense, catching at least three passes in every game.

In the one game he was held to just three catches, LaPorta found the end zone twice. He’s the best option – at plus money – to hit paydirt for Detroit this week.

Jakobi Meyers OVER 4.5 receptions

There’s some serious value in taking Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers to go over his catch total this week.

We saw the Lions struggle on defense in Week 7, and Meyers has been extremely consistent for the Raiders, catching at least five passes in five of his six games and at least seven in four of those six contests.

With Jimmy Garoppolo back in the lineup, Meyers should see a boost as well. He’s my favorite Raider to target in the prop market this week.
