The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers have traditionally played tight games over recent seasons and oddsmakers aren’t expecting that to change.

Detroit is listed as a 1.5-point road favorite (-120 moneyline odds) at Green Bay on Thursday night after the Lions swept the series last season.

Lions vs Packers Week 4 Opening Odds

Any questions about the Lions seem to have been answered – at least temporarily – after last week’s wire-to-wire win over Atlanta.

Detroit is dealing with a littany of injuries that include running back David Montgomery, left tackle Taylor Decker, right guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai and defensive backs Kerby Joseph, CJ Gardner-Johnson and Emmanuel Moseley.

But would you guess who else is dealing with a TON of injuries?

The Packers were without several key playmakers in this past week’s win over New Orleans. In total, Green Bay was missing: Aaron Jones, Christian Watson, David Bakhtiari and Jaire Alexander.

Injuries aside, these two teams have put up scarily similar numbers through three weeks.

Green Bay has averaged 26.7 points per game (8th in NFL) and Detroit has averaged 24 per game (13th) while the Packers have allowed 20.7 points per game (12th) and the Lions have allowed 21 per game (13th).

There’s no telling if any of these injured players will be able to get healthy enough to suit up on Thursday, but if they do, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the odds shift.
