The Lions come out of its BYE week and look to jumpstart a postseason push in Los Angeles against the Chargers.

The Chargers defense remains an eye sore and the Lions are in a great position to take advantage, which players should benefit from this in the player prop market with the Lions set to get back David Montgomery from injury, but have let rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs shine in his absence?

Keep reading to find out how I'm eyeing the Lions running back room as well as Jared Goff and the potent Lions' passing attack.

Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 59.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

The Lions eased in the first round pick from last year's NFL Draft, but with David Montgomery going down, the team saw what the Alabama product could do. Gibs has compiled more than 100 total yards over the past two games (both without Montgomery) and needs ample touches moving forward.

Gibbs is dangerous as both a pass catcher and a runner, and with Montgomery being a more traditional running back, I expect the rookie's usage to vary throughout the game, so I'll opt for the combination of both rushing and receiving yards on Sunday against a Chargers team that is 22nd in Iain MacMillian's net yard per plays report.

Jared Goff OVER 266.5 Passing Yards

The Chargers secondary has struggled all season, 23rd in EPA/Dropback, and this should be a great matchup for the Lions passing game that has an extra week to prepare and should be as healthy as its been all season.

Goff is averaging nearly 37 pass attempts per game this season and has a favorbale matchup in a not-so-hostile environment. I believe we can see a better than average number from him through the air, which is telling because his season average is 271.5. This number is expecting right around his mean mark, but I think we can shoot for higher expectations given the matchup for Detroit.

Sam LaPorta OVER 4.5 Receptions

The rookie has made waves this season for the Lions and I expect him to continue his fine play come Sunday. LaPorta has at least four targets in every game this season and has gone over this mark in five of eight games.

Given that I see this as a favorable matchup for the Lions passing game, I'll key in on LaPorta's receptions prop as my favorite way to bet on the rookie as he should factor all over the field, but most specifically the red zone, where he has four touchdowns on the year.
