The Detroit Lions will hit the road and travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in this Sunday's NFC Championship.

The Lions are set as underdogs in this game, and if they want to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in team history, they need their playmakers to step up in a big way.

In this article, I'm going to break down a few player props I'm eyeing to bet on.

Lions vs. 49ers prop bets

  • Josh Reynolds OVER 35.5 receiving yards
  • Jahmyr Gibbs longest rushing OVER 14.5 yards
  • Christian McCaffrey UNDER 87.5 rushing yards

Josh Reynolds OVER 35.5 receiving yards

Josh Reynolds has gone over 35.5 receiving yards in two of his last three starts and has proven that he can be the Lions true No. 2 target at wideout behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions would be smart to try to attack the lack of depth in the secondary for the 49ers, which could set Reynolds up to have another big game.

Jahmyr Gibbs longest rush OVER 14.5 yards

Jahmyr Gibbs doesn't get a ton of carries, but he seems to make the most of them every week. That's why we should bet on his longest rush instead of the total amount of rushing yards he will accumulate.

Gibbs has had a rush of at least 15 yards long in 12-of-17 games this season, including a 31-yard touchdown scamper against the Buccaneers last week. This might just be the best value bet on the board as he's typically good for one explosive run each game he plays in.

Christian McCaffrey UNDER 87.5 rushing yards

It takes a brave bettor to fade Christian McCaffrey but I think this is a great time to do it. The Lions have issues in their secondary, but they've been great when it comes to stopping the run. They're allowing just 3.8 yards per carry while also ranking inside the top 10 in opponent rush EPA and opponent rush success rate.

CMC may be able to rack some yards up through the air, but I feel comfortable taking the UNDER on his rushing yards total.
