Lions vs. 49ers best anytime touchdown scorer picks (Jahmyr Gibbs is sneaky value)
By Peter Dewey
The stage for the NFC Championship Game is set, and the Detroit Lions are hoping to upset the San Francisco 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl.
The Lions could be a good team to bet on in the touchdown scorer market, as they’ve been one of the best offenses in football all season long.
However, the team can also be exposed in the passing game, making one 49ers player a terrific bet to find the end zone this week.
I have three players to target to find the end zone in what could be an interesting matchup between two strong offenses.

Here’s the best anytime touchdown scorer picks for this week’s NFC title game:
Best anytime touchdown scorers for Lions vs. 49ers
- Jahmyr Gibbs anytime touchdown scorer
- Brandon Aiyuk anytime touchdown scorer
- Josh Reynolds anytime touchdown scorer
Jahmyr Gibbs anytime touchdown scorer
Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has found the end zone in three straight weeks, and they’ve all come on the ground.
The dual-threat running back also has at least four receptions in both of his playoff games, a sign that the Lions are really unleashing him in their game plan.
While David Montgomery is likely going to get goal-line touches, Gibbs can break a run at any point – something the Lions may need against a stout 49ers defense.
Dating back to Dec. 10, Gibbs has eight touchdowns in seven games.
Brandon Aiyuk anytime touchdown scorer
With Deebo Samuel’s status up in the air this week, Brandon Aiyuk is a must bet to find the end zone in the NFC title game.
Aiyuk has scored seven touchdowns this season, and he’s been arguably the best wideout for the 49ers from start to finish this season.
The Lions are a weak pass defense, ranking 30th in the NFL in net yards per pass attempt allowed and giving up the sixth most passing scores this season.
Aiyuk and George Kittle are both solid looks in the 49ers passing game this week.
Josh Reynolds anytime touchdown scorer
BetSided’s Iain MacMillan pointed out last week that Josh Reynolds is seeing a major workload for the Lions, and he called him finding the end zone against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With everyone focused on Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, I think Reynolds could be undervalued again in the NFC Championship Game.
The Lions wideout only saw three targets last week, catching two for 27 yards and a score, but he had seven targets in back-to-back games before the divisional round.
Reynolds has played at least 70 percent of the team’s offensive snaps in nine of his last 10 games, and he’s a bigger target that Jared Goff could look for in the red zone. He’s priced at +400, which is far too low for a No. 2/No. 3 option in the passing game.
