Things had been looking up for Lions cornerback Emmanuel Moseley as he works his way all the way back from a torn ACL, but it appears he has suffered a setback.

After it was finally confirmed he had a "clean-up" procedure on his injured knee, it felt like a foregone conclusion Lions cornerback Emmanuel Moseley would start the season on the PUP list and thus miss at least four games. But he was taken off the PUP list and put on the 53-man roster, which pointed to him not having to miss four games.

Still, it was not a surprise when Moseley was declared out for Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. A mini-bye week before Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks opened up the idea he could possibly make his Lions' debut then.

The Lions technically did not practice on Wednesday, but they did issue an estimated practice report. Center Frank Ragnow (toe) was listed as a full participant in the non-practice. Left tackle Taylor Decker (ankle) was listed as out, after he sat out on Tuesday, and cornerback Khalil Dorsey (illness) was listed as out as well.

Moseley was the third Lions' player listed as out, adding a hamstring issue to go with his knee.

Emmanuel Moseley injury update: Out for Week 2?

This is were it's worth reiterating that Wednesday's practice report was only an estimation, since the Lions didn't actually practice after returning to work on Tuesday. It was also the first injury report of the week for them, as usual in any other normal week that's not going into a Thursday night game.

Decker was the only player not seen on the practice field by reporters on Tuesday. So Moseley was apparently out there in some capacity, before it was "estimated" he wouldn't have practiced on Wednesday. Maybe it would have been a simple rest day anyway for him, if the Lions had actually practiced.

It's early to say anything definite about Moseley's status for Sunday against the Seahawks, but it's also not great that he has added a new injury to his recovery from his ACL tear. So his Lions' debut could very well be pushed out to Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.
