Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown latest Lions' enteries on NFL Top 100 players list

We knew more Lions players were coming on the NFL's Top 100 players list, and on Thursday two came.

Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson came in at No. 88 on the NFL's list of the top 100 players in the league, as determined by players themselves. It was easy to assume he wouldn't be the only Lion to make it, as the list gets rolled out in segments of 10 players.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown came in No. 67 on the top-100. It is the first time in his career he has made the list, of course.

St. Brown had a fantastic second season in 2022, with 106 receptions (seventh in the league), 1,161 yards (11th in the league) and six touchdowns.

It's the first time Goff has made the top-100 since 2019, when he came in at No. 32. He threw for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, with a 65 percent completion rate and a 99.3 passer rating. He also went nine straight games and 324 pass attempts without throwing an interception. Taking care of the ball the way he did almost perfectly lined up with the Lions' winning eight of their last 10 games.

Will there be any more Detroit Lions on the NFL Top 100 players list?

As the rest of the top 100 players list for 2023 is revealed, one Lion remains as a clear-cut candidate to make it. And he most certainly will make it, it's just a matter or where he lands.

Penei Sewell has become one of the NFL's best right tackles over his first two seasons in the league. NFL.com's Bucky Brooks even labeled him as the "gold standard" at the position this offseason, leaning toward his youth as a player to build a franchise around for years to come.

St. Brown may take his place on the top-100 players list personally, depending on which wide receivers land above him, along the same line as the 16 receivers who were drafted before him. But he's on the list, and the Lions being a lock to have four players on the list speaks to the league-wide attention they are garnering.
