The Detroit Lions are riding high after going into Arrowhead Stadium and beating the Kansas City City Chiefs in the season opener. But it's on to a new week now, and the home opener against the Seattle Seahawks is coming in Week 2.

Before Sunday's game will be a special event on Saturday evening, as a statue honoring Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders will be unveiled outside Ford Field. But after that it will be business as usual, against a Seahawks' team that suffered a 30-13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.

The Seahawks of course visited Ford Field last season, in Week 4, and beat the Lions' 48-45 as their offense never punted. That loss wound up being the difference in making the playoffs for Detroit, as Seattle ultimately owned the tiebreaker for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC based on that victory.

Via FanDuel Sportsbook, here's a look at the early odds for Lions-Seahawks, followed by a prediction for the game.

Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks: Week 2 Odds and Prediction

Point Spread:
Lions: -5.5 (-115)
Seahawks: +5.5 (-105)

Moneyline:
Lions: -220
Seahawks: +184

Over/Under (50.5)
Over: -115
Under: -105

The Lions are a noticeable 5.5-point favorite over the Seahawks in opening odds, the fourth-biggest spread on the Week 2 NFL slate as the week starts.

Lions fans traveled very well and took over part of Arrowhead Stadium in the season opener, so Ford Field will be absolutely rocking on Sunday to give the home team a significant home field advantage.

The Seahawks are reeling after losing to a division rival they were supposedly better than top to bottom. They won't be easy to beat, and the drops that plagued Kansas City's wide receivers in the season opener aren't likely to be a thing for DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. But..

Prediction: Lions 27, Seahawks 24.

In terms of the betting marks, the Seahawks cover the spread, the Lions deliver the moneyline and the over narrowly cashes.
