Tuesday, Aug. 27 is cut down day across the NFL, as all 32 teams have to be down to 53 players on their active roster by 4 p.m. ET.
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell openly acknowledged there was only "five or six" spots available on the roster heading into the final preseason game, which was not surprising and a testament to where the team is as a Super Bowl contender this year. There will simply be good players the Lions don't have room for, but another team may have a place for them as they make their own roster cuts.
The Lions will likely not make any of these moves official until the 4 p.m. ET deadline on Tuesday, but based on ongoing reports here are the players they have parted ways with.
