Will any of these Lions players make the final roster based on their performance Preseason Week 2?

3. Julian Okwara, EDGE

Another linebacker/edge rusher on the bubble and needing a strong performance going forward is Julian Okwara. The guys currently ahead of him include starters Aidan Hutchinson and Charles Harris, along with backups Romeo Okwara and James Houston.

Will the Lions keep another at the position? It's a tough question, especially with how Okwara performed in the preseason opener for Detroit. In that contest against the New York, Okwara tallied a whopping 3.0 sacks.

It was actually a very strong performance for the Lions' pass rushers who tallied 11 sacks on the day, in total. (Romeo) Okwara also notched a sack, helping him keep his case built as part of the roster, too. It's definitely a group that could present problems for opposing offenses this year, and a group that features some excellent depth.

Will Okwara take advantage going forward, like he did in Preseason Week 1? Let's hope so, for his sake.
