NFC North QB Power Rankings after Week 11
By Ryan Heckman
1. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Even though this is definitely a "what have you done for me lately?" league, we can look past Sunday's mistakes by Jared Goff and focus on that game-winning drive as the most recent evidence as to why he's the best quarterback in the division, currently.
On the season, Goff does have the highest quarterback rating within the NFC North. He has thrown for the most yards (2,743), passing touchdowns (16) and, of course, plays for the best team which is leading the division at 8-2 right now. Not only is Goff leading the division, but he and the Lions own the league's second-best record.
It is no stretch to call him the best quarterback in the NFC North. The only guy who might have a shot at competing with him would be Kirk Cousins, had he not gone down to injury earlier in the year. But, for the remainder of the season, Goff should continue operating as the division's best quarterback, and that's not a stretch whatsoever.
Although he threw three interceptions against the Bears on Sunday, Goff was the one who got them into the end zone when it mattered and brought home the victory.
