Detroit Lions naturally among the top betting favorites to win Super Bowl LIX

The Detroit Lions will go head-on into the offseason now, off a historic season. A division title for the first time since 1993. A playoff win for the first time since 1991. Multiple playoff wins in the same season for the first time in the Super Bowl era.

Of course the Lions fell just short of making the first Super Bowl in franchise history, with a narrow loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship.

"Unfinished business has been the refrain from many, and Aidan Hutchinson told "PFT Live" last week that head coach Dan Campbell declared the Lions are "going to the Super Bowl next year." That's the obvious goal, but it was a clear change in tune for Campbell after he was resigned to the idea the loss to the 49ers might have been the Lions' only shot to make/win a Super Bowl.

Expectations will be be high again for the Lions again heading into next season, though on a different level than they expectations were heading into this past season. The cute story is over. Now there's real expectations for success.
