The Detroit Lions (9-3) got back into the win column in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints, however narrowly after jumping out to a 21-0 before half of the first quarter was over. They'll hit the road again in Week 14, to take on the Chicago Bears next Sunday.

The Lions needed a fourth quarter comeback to beat the Bears in Week 11, as Jared Goff threw three interceptions (and could have thrown more) in the game but rallied late. It was Justin Fields' first game back under center for the Bears after missing time with a thumb injury, and he topped 100 rushing yards while regularly connecting with wide receiver D.J. Moore (seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Chicago is coming off their bye week with a 4-8 record after beating the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12, as they trend toward having two top-five picks in next April's draft (thank you, last offseason's trade with the Carolina Panthers).

In a vacuum, the Lions should have little trouble with the Bears this week. But we were saying the same thing a couple weeks ago...

Via FanDuel Sportsbook, here are the early odds for Lions-Bears in Week 14, followed by a prediction for the game.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears: Early Week 14 odds, prediction

Point Spread
Lions (-3): -115
Bears (+3): -105

Moneyline
Lions: -162
Bears: +136

Over/Under (42.5 points)
Over: -110
Under: -110

Prediction: Lions 27, Bears 20

Predicting a double-digit win for the Lions here would be easy, but lately nothing has been particularly easy (at least for very long) for this team. The early spread for a game between a 9-3 and 4-8 team, even with the 4-8 team at home, would be higher than three points a lot of times. But the Bears are playing better lately, and the Lions can't seem to put a whole game together. It adds up to a fairly close game, even if Lions' fans would love to see a blowout before the schedule ramps up again.

On the betting sides, I've got the Lions covering the three-point spread, winning outright on the money line and the over on 42.5 points hitting.
