The Detroit Lions open their 2023 preseason Friday night at home against the New York Giants, preceded by joint practices between the two teams on Tuesday and Wednesday. Seemingly in response to the interest and hype for this year's squad, the team has announced an alternate broadcast for the preseason opener.
The broadcast will be available on the Lions' website and app, using Kiswe's cloud production.
"We are thrilled to produce our first ever Detroit Lions alternate broadcast with Kiswe," said Detroit Lions Director of Broadcasting Carl Moll. "This is a great opportunity to engage fans in a new and exciting way and we can't wait to see the final product as well as the reaction.""
The broadcast will be hosted by Peter Schrager of NFL Network and FOX, and will feature a running list of interesting scheduled guests throughout the game.

The only issue for this alternate broadcast is that it's location restricted. If you're outside the Detroit area, you'll only be able to watch the game live with a subsription to NFL+. NFL Network will air Giants-Lions on tape delay at 1 a.m. ET on Saturday.
