Best NFL prop bets for Lions vs. Buccaneers in NFL Week 6

The Lions have been dominant on offense and with a healthy Amon-Ra St. Brown this week, it could look even better.

It feels like everyone has accepted that the Detroit Lions are Super Bowl contenders at 4-1, but the 3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers don't get the same love, and it’s probably for a good reason. The Lions have been taking care of business against inferior opponents and they have another one this week.

The Lions are a fun team to watch and it’s even more fun to back their offense which scored 42 points last week. I have my three favorite prop bets for Detroit as Jared Goff leads the team down to Tampa Bay.

Best NFL prop bets for Lions vs. Buccaneers

  • Lions 1st half spread -1.5 (-110)
  • Jared Goff anytime TD
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown under 73.5 receiving yards

Lions 1st half spread -1.5 (-110)

The Detroit Lions have been dominant on offense and that’s pretty much been the case right from kickoff. They rank third in first half points per game, only behind Miami and San Francisco at 17.8.

Lately, they’ve been even better than that, averaging a league best 22.7 points in the first half over the last three games. That came after putting up 28 on the Panthers in the first half last week.

Jared Goff anytime TD

It’s not a surprise to anyone that Jalen Hurts leads all NFL quarterbacks in rushing attempts in the red zone, but it might be surprising to find out that Jared Goff is No. 2.

He has run the ball 10 times inside the 20 for 13 yards and two touchdowns. He ran one in last week, but still has a very juicy price for this one.

Amon-Ra St. Brown under 73.5 receiving yards

Defensively, the Bucs rank 10th in yards per attempt and 11th in yards per completion. They are 16th in pass defense, but Detroit has been leaning heavily on the run-game, and I expect that to continue this week.

St. Brown missed last week with injury, meanwhile the Lions continue to develop other young pass-catchers. Sam LaPorta caught three passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns, Josh Reynolds led the team with four grabs for 76 yards and a touchdown and Jameson Williams caught two passes on three targets.
