Best NFL Prop Bets for Broncos vs. Lions in Week 15 (LaPorta bounces back at home)
By Jovan Alford
Saturday's triple-header wraps up in the Motor City as the Detroit Lions will take on the surging Denver Broncos. The Lions are looking to rebound from a disappointing divisional road loss to the Chicago Bears last week.
The Lions will hope that their young playmakers at running back and tight end can give them a spark on Saturday night and lift them to victory. I found two Lions player props and a Broncos prop that bettors should look to add to their Week 15 card.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Broncos vs. Lions in Week 15
- Courtland Sutton OVER 53.5 receiving yards (-115)
- Sam LaPorta OVER 47.5 receiving yards (-140)
- Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 53.5 rushing yards (-120)
Courtland Sutton OVER 53.5 receiving yards (-115)
Sutton doesn’t have gaudy stats this season (53 receptions for 699 yards and 10 touchdowns). However, he’s the most consistent pass-catching option for the Broncos. Last week against the Chargers, the veteran wide receiver had three receptions (four targets) for 62 yards and a touchdown.
He’ll be facing a Lions’ defense on Saturday night that’s ranked 21st in DVOA-WR1 and has allowed 71.6 receiving yards per game to the position, per ftnfantasy.com. Sutton has gone OVER 53.5 receiving yards in seven out of 13 games, including his last four games. He’s also averaging 59.3 yards per game on the road this season.
Sam LaPorta OVER 47.5 receiving yards (-140)
After being held in check by the Bears’ defense last week, LaPorta will look to bounce back against Denver on Saturday. The rookie tight end had only two receptions (six targets) for 23 yards.
LaPorta has been a perfect fit in the Lions’ offense after the team traded T.J. Hockenson last season to the Vikings. The 22-year-old has 66 receptions (92 targets) for 702 yards and six touchdowns this season.
With the Broncos spending a lot of attention on Amon-Ra St. Brown, LaPorta should thrive on Saturday as Denver allows 69.4 receiving yards per game to TEs this season. The rookie pass catcher has gone OVER 47.5 receiving yards in six out of 13 games.
Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 53.5 rushing yards (-120)
The rookie has been used in the running game more lately, which is what you want to see as a Lions fan. Last week against the Bears, Gibbs had 66 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, making it the second consecutive game that he’s recorded 60 or more rushing yards.
The former Alabama standout will look to make it three straight games against the Broncos, who have the worst run defense in the league (144 yards per game allowed).
However, Denver has improved over their last three games, giving up 90.6 rushing yards per game. Gibbs has gone OVER 53.5 rushing yards in seven out of 11 games and averages 67.8 yards per game at home.
