Before diving into Week 8's Detroit Lions best bets, let's see how Week 7's bets did.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Over 3.5 Receptions (+108, FanDuel; +110, DraftKings): 9 receptions
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, 80-plus Receiving Yards (+110, DraftKings; +102 FanDuel): 102 yards
Lions, Over 9.5 First Half Points (-118, DraftKings; -125, FanDuel): 0 first half points

Reached a bit outside the norm for the Lions first half points bet, and it didn't hit-not even close.

Monday night to conclude Week 8, the Lions are in a nice rebound spot against the Las Vegas Raiders at home. They have stuck as heavy favorites, though the spread is down a bit on the news wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was downgraded to questionable for the game with an illness.

With the sports book you can find each bet on noted, here are our best Lions bets for Week 8 against the Raiders.

Detroit Lions best bets for Week 8 vs. Raiders

WR Josh Reynolds, 40-Plus Receiving Yards, (+110, DraftKings, +108, FanDuel)

Outside of a zero-catch, zero-target dud in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, Reynolds has at least 43 yards in every other game this season with at least 50 yards five times. The over on his yardage prop (34.5 yards on DraftKings, 35.5 yards on FanDuel) is an enticing bet, but I went a little against the grain here with 40-plus yards at plus-money.

Reynolds has been bankable on yardage bets all season outside of that one dud. Independent of St. Brown's status for Monday night's game, 40-plus yards feels easy for Reynolds.

S Kerby Joseph, To Record an Interception (+650, FanDuel)

Joseph has yet to intercept a pass this season, as he has already garnered respect of his ball-hawking ability and teams may be avoiding throwing in his direction. But it's a matter of time before he gets one, and Monday night looks primed to be that time.

The Raiders have thrown a league-high 12 interceptions this season. Jimmy Garoppolo, who will be back under center on Monday night, has thrown a tied for league-high eight interceptions despite missing two games and not having played Week 8 yet.

Betting on individual defensive performance can be a slippery slope. But I was waiting to see about a Joseph interception bet for this week, and a small investment could pay off noticeably as Garoppolo feels sure to give the Lions' safety an opportunity to pick off his first pass this season.

TE Sam LaPorta, 50-Plus Receiving Yards (+106, FanDuel; +100, DraftKings)

In seven games this season, LaPorta has topped 50 yards five times. The Raiders have not been generous to tight ends this season (41.4 yards per game allowed), but they have also not exactly faced a bunch good players at the position.

I also like the over on 4.5 receptions for LaPorta (+108 on FanDuel; +105 on DraftKings), for those who may want to bet a parlay. But on its own, especially if St. Brown is out or at all limited, 50-plus yards for the Lions' rookie gets the nod here.
