As the calendar flip to June looms, here are three former Detroit Lions who are surprisingly still free agents.

It's the slower time on the NFL calendar right now, such as there ever is such a thing for a league that seeks to dominate the conversation year-round and pretty much succeeds. OTAs are going on around the league, and mandatory minicamps in June will be the last major thing until training camps start in July.

But as the calendar moves toward flipping to June, there are some notable names still available and a big one who was just added to the list is getting widely tied to the Detroit Lions as a possible fit. But it's fair to say the Lions are probably done making any notable additions this offseason. Any further maneuvering will be done to the back end of a roster that currently sits at 90 players.

In terms of former Lions who are still available as free agents this offseason, the list itself is not necessarily greatly distinguished. Kenny Golladay and Ndamukong Suh are probably the proverbial headliners, and Suh has openly said he's will to wait for a while to sign.

That being said, there are some former Lions who are still available and could be solid contributors on a team. They are almost certainly better than some players who currently occupy offseason roster spots, those who are lined up for a certain role, or even some who are even lined up for starting jobs.

With that in mind, here are three former Detroit Lions who should not still be available in free agency as June 1 looms.
