It's difficult to say whether certain calls by the referees in the Detroit Lions' loss to the Green Bay Packers swung the momentum one way or another in favor of the Packers.
But, two calls that are still having Lions fans scratching their heads - one on a touchdown call that stood, and another on a false start that was erased by a coincidentally timed timeout from head coach Matt LaFleur - both resulted in 14 total points for the Packers. They ended up winning by one score, which just makes them sting even more.
Of course, LaFleur couldn't care less about those calls. His team won a key divisional matchup that now helps keep them in the fight for the NFC North and removes the Lions as a legitimate option for winning that same title. He was asked about those calls after the game and, let's just say that he wasn't very humble.
#Packers HC Matt LaFleur on if the refs got it right by giving him a timeout instead of calling a false start:

Lions fans sure to be annoyed at Matt LaFleur's indifference about missed false start
Any camera angle you find from this call shows that Detroit has a legitimate gripe. Rookie lineman Anthony Belton jumped on a key down in the red zone, and it should've resulted in lost yards for the Packers and a harder time for them in finding the end zone in the air. Instead, the referees erased the penalty on the board and rewarded LaFleur with a timeout.
Except, the timeout came well after Belton jumped. Almost like LaFleur called the timeout in hopes of saving his team the headache of a costly penalty in a key moment of the game. The result was another touchdown pass from Jordan Love, and another step back for the Lions defense during a long day for them.

LaFleur does have some right to brag about this victory. Green Bay marched into Ford Field, got the win, and got to share a mid-field dinner table with Erin Andrews and the FOX Sports crew. But, he has to know that he got away with a huge call here that could've actually resulted in the Lions remaining in the game and, subsequently, in the hunt for the division.
This was a huge game, and it stinks to not have referees ready to meet the moment in this instance.
