The Detroit Lions are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in a huge NFC showdown during Sunday Night Football. Not only is the contest determining how tight the NFC North will remain for yet another week, but it's another litmus test for a Lions team with Super Bowl aspirations.
Of course, Detroit is battling against an ongoing issue with injuries this season. Their secondary has been embattled for the last few weeks thanks to injuries to D.J. Reed and Terrion Arnold, and now, their offensive line and receiving unit have begun to feel the burn.
Sam LaPorta, the team's TE1, is out for the next four games at least with a back injury, while Arnold has found himself on the outs again with a concussion. The Lions' Legion of Whom is about to be asked for another big game against an Eagles offense that has struggled to find consistency behind quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Lions inactives for Week 11 against Eagles
Detroit has listed the following players inactive for Week 11, per the team:
Player | Injury |
|---|---|
Terrion Arnold | Concussion |
Kerby Joseph | Knee |
Craig Reynolds | N/A |
Quinton Jefferson | N/A |
Mekhi Wingo | N/A |
Tom Kennedy | N/A |
Joseph and Arnold being absent for this game is a big blow to Detroit's defense. This is yet another big primetime matchup where the Lions stand to be overpowered due to injuries, but one the team is still expected to put up a fight in. For the Lions' offense, LaPorta's absence leaves a big hole in more ways than one.

He's a solid blocker for the Lions' run game and in pass protection for Jared Goff, while Brock Wright - LaPorta's replacement for now - has struggled a bit with blocking this year. The team signed Anthony Firsker this week to their practice squad, but he wasn't elevated ahead of this game. Wright has to be ready to block well against a fairly physical Eagles defensive front and linebacker group.
As for Philadelphia, their inactives list isn't very intimidating:

Many of the previously questionable players for the Eagles headed into this game, such as Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson, are set to play against Detroit. They won't be catching a break in the form of some rested players on Philadelphia's side. This is just going to be another test of resilience for this Lions team ahead of a huge Thanksgiving bout against the Green Bay Packers in Week 13.
Look to see a ton of play from Amik Robertson and Brian Branch in this one as the Lions look to hold down both A.J. Brown and DaVonta Smith in this one. Dan Campbell just made the one move Lions fans were begging for
