The Detroit Lions handily defeated the Chicago Bears, never looking back after pouring on 52 points against Dennis Allen's defense in a huge NFC North game with plenty of bragging rights on the line. It was never a close competition, with one unit obviously a contender, and with the other with so much more work to do to get close to that echelon.
Chicago has a ton of questions to answer on offense, to be sure. But on defense, they shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as giving up 52 points in a game. It's incredible hard to score that much in the NFL - the Bears defense made it look very easy to accomplish.
One Bears defender, Jaquan Brisker, has suddenly be thrust into the spotlight in one social media post that is openly begging for Allen to utilize the safety a lot more against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, and likely beyond. Brisker, obviously lurking social media, responded to the plea:
Facts. Use me .

Allen is notably not on Twitter/X, so there's no way he sees this from Brisker unless shown. One thing's for sure, though: Detroit might've just beaten the Bears so badly in Week 2 that they're already facing some locker room issues amongst their defenders.
Bears facing locker room woes after Lions loss
Brisker currently slots in ahead of Elijah Hicks on the Bears' safety depth chart, so it's not like he's not considered a starting caliber defender in Allen's scheming. But, Brisker clearly wishes to be used as more than just a piece in the secondary, and more as a cover defender who could even act as a pass rusher and run stopper.
It's not out of the realm of possibility. Brian Branch just had a sack against Chicago as one of the Lions' top safeties, but he's a far more versatile defender than Brisker. It's understandable that Kelvin Sheppard would want to get that look for Branch - it might not be the same situation for Brisker under Allen.

Chicago really has nothing to lose by getting these looks for Brisker. Dallas isn't exactly a formidable foe anymore, at least on defense. Their O-line is very solid, and Dak Prescott is still one of the better passers in the NFL. Perhaps Brisker can get his wish in this big conference game, especially since the Bears have to figure something out after such a rout suffered in Week 2.
