Jared Goff punctuates Lions' locker room celebration after win vs. Texans
Sunday night's game against the Houston Texans was one Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff would surely like back. Some of his five interceptions were impacted by bad fortune, but he generally speaking did not play well before playing coming on in the fourth quarter.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Goff appropriately said "every team gets punched in the mouth and the good ones respond. We're one of those teams. We respond."
As the Lions stack wins, and win in unique ways (second half comeback, in bad weather, with little need for offensive yards), their postgame locker room celebrations have become weekly appointment viewing.
Head coach Dan Campbell postgame locker room speeches are routinely epic these days, and he did not disappoint on Sunday night.
"Oh my God, man. That is the definition of resiliency. You guys just kept banging away, right? We did whatever we had to do, and we just (expletive) bided our time. Defense was outstanding, man. That was outstanding. Outstanding. We knew it was just a matter of time. Offense, we get our points, man. (Jake) Bates, that was freaking ginormous. And I’ll just say this again: this is what great teams do. This is what great teams do. Even when you’re having an off day, you find a way, man. You freaking find a way, and you will it to happen. That’s what you did today. That’s what you did."

Campbell gave game balls to defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, cornerback Carlton Davis and kicker Jake Bates.
Goff broke down the locker room to end the postgame celebration, with another appropriate sentiment before he went to the podium.
"Hey, if that ain't a f*cking lesson it ain't over 'til it's over, it's f**ckin' what it is, boys. Way to f**ckin' fight all day. We're f**ckin' different. We're f**ckin' different than all 31 in this league, alright."
This Lions team is certainly different. Many past Lions' teams, going back further and further in the past as they have success right now, would have lost a game like Sunday night-probably in blowout fashion.
