Starting linebacker Jack Campbell, the captain of the Lions' defense, went down on a tackle and was not moving while he was being tended to by athletic trainers at the start to the 4th quarter.

Per Lions PR, he has been transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for a neck injury.

This is a very serious situation, and one we'll continue to monitor as we learn more about Campbell's status beyond this game.

Campbell is now the third Lions defender to go down in this game, with Brian Branch and DJ Wonnum colliding earlier on a scary helmet-to-helmet play. Both have already been ruled out and in concussion protocol, with Wonnum having to be carted off the field after that hit.

This is a developing story, and we'll update this post as more information comes in regarding Campbell's status.
