Amon-Ra St. Brown has been the biggest question mark for the Detroit Lions headed into Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys. St. Brown suffered an ankle sprain against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, adding to a recent string of mishaps that have bogged down the middle of St. Brown's year with the team.
We still have no idea if St. Brown is suiting up against the Cowboys, though, with the Lions having included him amongst a slew of other starters on their injury report before game day.
Other starters dealing with injuries that could knock them out of the contest include Taylor Decker, Penei Sewell, Kayode Awosika, Brian Branch, and Graham Glasgow. Not exactly the most confident report for Lions fans who are hoping to see Detroit fight to see another week in the postseason race.
Lions injury report continues to be riddled with injuries to starters
Players already marked out for this game include Kerby Joseph (knee), Kalif Raymond (ankle), Brock Wright (neck), and Shane Zylstra (knee). Joseph's availability moving forward feels like a mystery, as it sounds like his knee injury is a bit worse than the team anticipated. But, he intends to play again this year.
As for St. Brown, what we know is that the team is taking his ankle injury day by day. He told reporters that it's a matter of being able to stop and turn on a dime while out on the field without any major pain, and that'll be something he can test right before the Lions' game on Thursday night.
"It hurts, but it's getting better. So, that's the good news. Just day by day. Just trying to make sure I'm out there for my guys," said St. Brown to reporters this week.

Jameson Williams is likely to get a majority of looks from Jared Goff regardless of St. Brown's availability, as he's the teams' healthiest starting receiver by far. Jahmyr Gibbs will obviously be relied upon pretty heavily, too, but the Cowboys' run-stopping is a whole lot better than their pass-rushing.
Williams is also ready to step up, wanting a re-do on his performance against the Packers. He finished up with 144 receiving yards and a touchdown, but had a key fourth-down drop that killed a momentous drive for Detroit.
"[Goff] gave me the opportunity. I've just got to make the best of the opportunity and move the sticks for us. I move the sticks right there, it could be a whole different game for us."
Additionally, Dallas' secondary has not been healthy nor a strength this year. Goff should be able to take advantage of that, even with St. Brown's injury woes. Detroit's just got to hope that their offensive line and its anchors in Decker and Sewell can, at least, suit up.
