What will be missing from Lions training camp this year
One aspect that is set to be missing from training camp for the Lions this season is a joint practice with one of their preseason opponents. The Lions will not host a joint practice session with the Washington Commanders, who they play in a preseason game at Ford Field on Aug. 22.
Other preseason opponents for the Lions include road matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals (Aug. 13) and the Indianapolis Colts (Aug. 29). The Lions are set to open the 2026 regular season on Sept. 13 at Ford Field against the New Orleans Saints.
