After solidifying their initial 53-man roster, the Detroit Lions are looking to assemble their practice squad for 2026. After an injury-riddled season in 2025, the importance of having game-ready players in waiting on this unit became crystal clear to fans.
16 players will be placed on this roster by Detroit ahead of the regular season, with several that were waived on Sunday expected to be targeted by the team as practice squad additions this year: Anthony Lucas, Tyre West, and Luke Altmyer are all players that are reportedly being sought out by the Lions for the team.
