Detroit Lions inactives list for Week 8 vs. Tennessee Titans
After back-to-back road games coming out of their Week 5 bye, the Detroit Lions return home to Ford Field for Week 8 to take on the 1-5 Tennessee Titans. The Lions are big favorites on Sunday (11.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook, odds subject to change), so they should have little trouble getting to 6-1 on the season.
On the injury front for Detroit, the impact of losing defensive end Aidan Hutchinson to a fractured left leg in Week 6 will continue to be felt. For this week specifically, defensive lineman Josh Paschal was ruled out on Friday after missing practice all week due to an illness.
Paschal was diagnosed with and beat cancer when he was in college, and he revealed to Ben Raven of MLive that something came up during his annual checkup. It sounds like he'll be back in Week 9.
"I just had something small that I had to take care of this week,” Paschal said. “Fortunately, it’s not something long-term. It’s just something that I had to take care of. I had to knock it out."
Rookie guard Christian Mahogany was the only other Lions' player with an injury designation on Friday's injury report, and he will also be out. He is almost to the end of his 21-day window to be added to the 53-man roster (Tuesday). Since he is not on the active roster, he will (again) not be listed as an inactive for Sunday's game.
