We're a week past the 2026 NFL Draft, and we've heard how analysts feel about the Detroit Lions' draft class. We've heard how head coach Dan Campbell feels about it. We've heard how general manager Brad Holmes feels about it.

What about the Lions players who just gained a slew of new teammates?

After a few-week hiatus, the St. Brown Podcast returned with Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his brother, Equanimeous. Just before the 12-minute mark, the Lions' St. Brown was asked his thoughts about the Lions' draft.

St. Brown said he felt "great" about it, pointing to the need at tackle after Taylor Decker's departure. He said he felt Holmes and company "did a great job of addressing that" with the Blake Miller selection.

"They got a tackle that they feel like is a dog. I saw some of his highlights. He looks great -- big dude. I mean, look, I feel like you draft off potential. You draft off what you feel like they can be and their floor. And I feel like Blake (Miller) is exactly what we needed. A tackle that has that mean streak in him...I saw some of the highlights, putting dudes on their back, finishing guys."

St. Brown certainly sees that potential in Miller, saying that he and now left tackle Penei Sewell "are going to be a sick *** combo" when Miller secures the starting job.

St. Brown's thoughts on the rest of the draft

St. Brown didn't delve as deeply into the remaining picks, but pointed to the second-round pick, Derrick Moore, saying "we needed an EDGE" and that fellow EDGE Aidan Hutchinson is "probably really happy" the Lions brought in another Michigan guy.

St. Brown joked about the growing number of Michigan guys on the team after referencing the Jimmy Rolder pick. He took some time to light-heatedly air out his grievances about there not being another USC player on the team, saying he's "been waiting a long time for the Lions to draft a USC guy." St. Brown did bring up the Lions signing EDGE Anthony Lucas as an undrafted free agent out of USC, but as far as drafting an USC guy goes, "It's all good," St. Brown said, "I'll keep waiting."

The Lions may not have drafted a player from St. Brown's alma mater, but they did draft someone at his position with the Kendrick Law selection in the fifth round. St. Brown said he's "excited to meet" Law and "play with him." St. Brown said that Law "plays hard" and that he spoke to running back Jahmyr Gibbs about him, as Law's time in Alabama overlapped with Gibbs' for one season.

St. Brown thinks it's "great" the Lions are "loading up on defense" in this draft, including cornerback Keith Abney II, who "looks nice."

St. Brown concludes by saying what most of us already know -- the current roster is "already good" thanks to previous drafts. "I think we're just addressing the needs," St. Brown continued, "and from there we have the nucleus and bringing guys along."
