The Detroit Lions picked up a massive Monday Night Football road victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. It was an awesome, gritty performance akin to what we've seen from a vintage Dan Campbell-led football team.
As we've seen during Campbell's tenure as head coach of the Lions, everyone had a hand in their 38-30 defeat of the Ravens. Detroit got excellent contributions in all three facets of the game, though the club was particularly sound defensively despite allowing an abundance of points. The legend of Al-Quadin Muhammad notably continued growing in Baltimore; he announced himself to the world under the bright primetime lights.
Muhammad stood out among Detroit's star-studded stop unit. He saw teammate Marcus Davenport's recent placement on injured reserve as a chance to make a lasting impression and fully capitalized on the increased utilization. The veteran edge rusher acknowledged and emphasized the carpe diem mindset that propelled him to his Herculean performance against Baltimore afterward.

Al-Quadin Muhammad's NSFW postgame comments has Lions fans ready to run through a brick wall
Detroit's official X (formerly known as Twitter) account gave us behind-the-scenes locker room access following the win in Baltimore, and Muhammad earned a game ball. He then shared a humble, grateful message to his Lions comrades, adding a not-safe-for-work motivational flare that will get the fan base's juices flowing.
"I want to thank every player, every coach, everybody that's in this organization, because about a year ago, I was home," Muhammad said. "I was on the couch. So, when you get a [expletive] opportunity, you make sure you take advantage of it."

Talk is cheap without action, and Muhammad certainly stood on business in Week 3. He brought his comments to life on the gridiron, accounting for 2.5 of Detroit's seven sacks on Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson. The 2017 sixth-round pick is a journeyman, representing his fourth franchise in eight years, and embracing the mentality of never being complacent ostensibly fuels him.
In addition to his efforts dumping the passer, Muhammad yielded four tackles (two for loss) and three quarterback hits. He was wreaking havoc in Baltimore's backfield throughout the contest. Pro Football Focus gave him a solid 75.0 pass-rushing grade ($).
With Davenport sidelined for at least three and his return timeline from a pec strain unclear, Muhammad should keep earning a larger workload. At this rate, if/whenever the time comes, the former may rejoin the Lions as the latter's backup.
