With rookie minicamp launching their offseason schedule on Friday, the Detroit Lions  have signed three 2023 draft picks and 15 undrafted rookies.

The Detroit Lions will start their offseason work with rookie minicamp on Friday. As expected with that, the team announced it has signed the following draft picks and undrafted rookies.

Draft Picks

-Offensive tackle Colby Sorsdal
-Wide receiver Antoine Green
-Quarterback Hendon Hooker

Undrafted Rookies

-Offensive lineman Brad Cecil, South Florida
-Running back Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota
-Wide receiver Chase Cota, Oregon
-Quarterback Adrian Martinez, Kansas State
-Linebacker Isaac Darkangelo, Illinois
-Defensive tackle Corey Durden, North Carolina State
-Safety Brandon Joseph, Notre Dame
-Cornerback Starling Thomas, UAB
-Cornerback Steven Gilmore, Marshall
-Defensive end Zach Morton, Akron
-Linebacker Trevor Nowaske, Saginaw Valley State
-Defensive tackle Chris Smith, Notre Dame
-Wide receiver Keytaon Thompson, Virginia
-Offensive tackle Connor Galvin, Baylor
-Offensive lineman Ryan Swoboda, Central Florida

After the undrafted rookies signings for the Lions that were initially reported, Gilmore, the cornerback out of Marshall and the brother of All-Pro corner Stephon, is a new name.

In terms of the draft pick signings, we had news about Sorsdal and Green coming to terms earlier in the week. Now the deals have been made official by the Lions.

Hooker obviously won’t do any on-field work during rookie minicamp as he works his way back from a torn ACL, and he’s not expected to play at all as a rookie. But being on-site can only be a benefit to him as he also learns an NFL offense. That said, the undrafted rookie Martinez has an opportunity to get noticed with reps as the No. 1 quarterback this weekend.

The Lions remaining five unsigned draft picks–Jahmyr Gibbs, Jack Campbell, Sam LaPorta, Brian Branch and Brodric Martin, are eligible to participate in rookie minicamp, which will run from Friday through Sunday.
