The roar has officially been restored.

Despite narrowly missing the postseason in 2022, the expectations are high for the Detroit Lions in 2023, evident with how the NFL schedule makers view the team. The Lions are set to face the defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Lions vs. Chiefs Week 1 odds

There is plenty of more information in regards to the NFL schedule, which drops in full on Thursday night on NFL Network, but this is the first of what should be plenty of primetime action for Jared Goff and the Lions.

FanDuel Sportsbook was quick to post odds for the opener, installing the Lions as 6.5-point underdogs at -105 odds, meaning you’d have to risk $105 to win $100 on Detroit staying within a touchdown.

Meanwhile, if you think the Lions stun the defending champs on opening night, you can get the Lions at +215 on the moneyline, meaning if you risk $100 you win $215 if Detroit pulls off a stunner.
