Amon-Ra St. Brown pulls no punches to rip Chicago Bears fans

Amon-Ra St. Brown was in Kansas City to announce a Detroit Lions draft pick, and based on what he saw he pulled no punches to rip Chicago Bears fans.

Amon-Ra St. Brown had to wait a little longer than he expected on Day 2 of the 2023 draft to announce a Detroit Lions pick, due to a couple trades down, but he ultimately did announce the  third-round selection of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker.

So St. Brown had an up-close perspective to see how fans of every team reacted to picks as he waited for his time on stage to announce a pick.

St. Brown’s brother and podcast partner Equanimeous St. Brown happens to play for the divisional rival Chicago Bears. So that was an extra layer added to what the Lions’ receiver had to say on this week’s edition of their podcast for The 33rd Team.

But even as tongue-in-cheek trolling may go with his brother ready to respond, St. Brown went all-in on Bears fans compared to what he saw from Lions fans right next to them in seats at the draft.

“You see how deflated they looked? I’m like oh my God,”

Equanimeous jumped in to say fans were just resting between picks, but that didn’t stop his brother from going all the way in to rip Bears fans.

"Worst fanbase ever. Like this (heads down), on their phones. Just tired. You see the Lions next to them. Just turnt, lit. They were standing up, and you guys were sitting down. That tells me everything,” he says.Because they spent so much energy going crazy for our picks,” Equanimeous explains.For who? What pick?”"

St. Brown was surely mainly teasing his brother, with an easy public platform to do it after being on-site at the draft. But “The Sun God” will now also surely get rained on by an extra dose of boos from Bears fans when the Lions visit Soldier Field this season.
