2. Chiefs DT Derrick Nnadi

Nnadi has started 69 games for the Chiefs over six seasons, including all 17 this season. He has had a down year, in terms of surface production and Pro Football Focus grade, but before that he had three straight really good seasons as a run stuffer and he popped for three sacks in 2021.

The Lions could use a veteran on the interior defensive line who can actually play a little, unlike Michael Brockers over the last two seasons. Nnadi would come pretty cheap, and how he does against the stalwarts on the Eagles’ interior offensive line in the Super Bowl will be worth watching.

1. Eagles CB James Bradberry

The Eagles did not hesitate to sign Bradberry when the divisional rival Giants cut him last offseason, and the move paid off.

Bradberry combined with former Lion Darius Slay to form one of the best cornerback duos in the league this year. He registered the best Pro Football Focus coverage grade of his career, with three interceptions, 17 pass breakups and a 51.6 passer rating allowed as he earned Second Team AP All-Pro honors.

Bradberry has played over 1,000 snaps in three straight seasons. That kind of durability would be a welcome addition to the Lions’ cornerback room, if nothing else. It also happens that he’s pretty good, with plenty seemingly left in the tank at 29 years old (30 in August). The Lions need cornerback help, and Bradberry should be high on their list of free agent targets at the position.
