Here are three best Detroit Lions bets for Week 16 at the Carolina Panthers.

Before digging into Week 16 Detroit Lions best bets, let’s do the accounting for Week 15.

RB Jamaal Williams, Anytime touchdown (+145, FanDuel): No touchdowns
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 6.5 receptions (-113, FanDuel): Seven receptions
Lions, Moneyline (+104, FanDuel): Lions 20-17 victory

Two out of three isn’t too bad. On to Week 16.

In Week 16 the Lions hit the road again to take on the Carolina Panthers, in another game with playoff implications for both teams on Christmas Eve. The Lions have remained 2.5-point favorites all week on FanDuel Sportsbook, and while it will be uncharacteristically cold in Charlotte on Saturday the conditions will be measurably worse in other outdoor locations on Saturday.

As you narrow in your Week 16 NFL betslips, via the sportsbook as noted, here are three bests bets for the Lions against the Panthers.

3 best bets for Detroit Lions in Week 16 at Panthers

WR DJ Chark, Over 33.5 receiving yards (-115, DraftKings; -110 FanDuel)

Hat-tip to Jason Katz of Pro Football Network for putting this one on our radar. Chark was a victim of playing against the Jets’ top-notch perimeter cornerback duo of Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and D.J. Reed, with one catch for 18 yards on two targets. But he topped 90 yards with at least six targets in back-to-back games before that, and after Jaycee Horn the Panthers’ cornerback depth gets very thin on talent very quickly.

Carolina is allowing the 11th-most receiving yards to wide receivers this season. Beyond Amon-Ra St. Brown, someone will eat. Chark may only need two or three catches to get to 34 yards and clear this over.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 6.5 receptions (-106, FanDuel; -105, DraftKings)

A over/under of 6.5 receptions on St. Brown begs for over bets. He has at least seven catches in five of his last six games, and in six of his last eight.

St. Brown may see a little bit of Horn on Saturday, but otherwise he’ll see favorable matchups in the slot against far less talents. Double-digit targets is well in play, and until the books adjust this 6.5-catch bet it will be an over bet to smash.

St. Brown, Over 71.5 receiving yards (-115, DraftKings)

St. Brown has topped 75 yards in five of his last six games, with 68 yards in a “down game” Week 14 against the Vikings.

A bet on the over for St. Brown’s receptions is easy to parlay with the over on this yardage, for those who are so inclined.
