4. Matt Ryan, Indianapolis Colts

It says it all that Colts head coach Jeff Saturday felt the need to confirm Ryan will start in Week 15 coming out of their bye week. Ryan has had a rough season, but this looks like a week to give him a chance in fantasy if you’re in a real pinch.

The last five opponents of the Minnesota Vikings have topped 400 offensive yards against them, and for the season they’ve allowed the most passing yards in the league (287.2 per game) and the highest yards per attempt (8.0). Their pass rush has evaporated over the last five games,

In fantasy terms, the Vikings have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season (20.4 per game; Yahoo! scoring). Three straight quarterbacks have thrown for at least 330 yards against them, and seven straight opposing signal callers have had at least one of multiple passing touchdowns or over 325 yards through the air against Minnesota.

If his history this season says anything, Ryan will turn the ball over a couple times on Saturday afternoon. But he should be throwing plenty, and the great matchup against the Vikings means he’s not totally out of the realm of fantasy usability in Week 15.
