As you kick off your Week 12 NFL betting action on Thanksgiving Day, here are three Detroit Lions prop bets to think about against the Buffalo Bills.
Before attempting to uncover some gold with Detroit Lions Week 12 prop bets, let’s see how Week 11’s prop bets did.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 76.5 receiving yards (-120, BetMGM; -115, DraftKings): 76 yards
QB Jared Goff, Over 226.5 passing yards (-120, BetMGM): 165 yards
St. Brown, Anytime touchdown (+145, DraftKings): No touchdown
On to Week 12. Thankfully it’s a short week to get back on the betting horse.
The Lions have won three straight games for the first time since 2017. Now they’ll welcome the Buffalo Bills to town on Thanksgiving Day, or should we say back to town after the Bills had to play their Week 11 “home game” at Ford Field.
The Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL, so it’s no surprise they’re heavy favorites over the Lions.
Via FanDuel Sportsbook, here are three Lions prop bets for Week 12.
Detroit Lions prop bets for Week, 12 vs. Buffalo Bills
RB Jamaal Williams, Anytime touchdown (+100)
Williams is the NFL’s touchdown leader entering Week 12, with 12 scores on the ground. The Bills are neither a great or an incredibly bad matchup for a running back, but before last week opposing ground games had their way with them for a few weeks.
The Lions will need to establish the run to keep Buffalo’s offense off the field, and scoring on the ground would be an easy follow. Someone, a bet on Williams to score is plus-money on FanDuel.
RB D’Andre Swift, Anytime touchdown (+170)
If you’re a Swift fantasy manager, you’re well aware of his touchdown-or-bust production since Week 1. But he has scored in five of the seven games he has played this season, and even with limited snaps he gets work in the red zone.
It’s a bit risky to be sure, but there’s a mix of upside and some bankability in a bet on Swift to score on Thursday.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 7.5 receptions (+112)
With an ankle injury and an early exit with a head injury behind him, St. Brown has at least seven catches in three of his last four games (exactly seven twice). In six fully healthy games this season, he has seven or more catches five times.
If the Lions are chasing a negative game script, or simply have to keep pace with the Bills’ scoring, St. Brown’ status as the No. 1 target for Jared Goff will drive plenty of volume for him. An over bet on 7.5 receptions feels easy at plus-money.
