As you look toward some Week 5 NFL betting action, here are three prop bets for the Detroit Lions against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Before digging into Week 5’s Detroit Lions prop bets, let’s see how Week 4 turned out.

RB Jamaal Williams, Anytime touchdown (-140): Two touchdowns
TE T.J. Hockenson, Anytime touchdown (+165): Two touchdowns
WR Josh Reynolds, Anytime touchdown (+185): One touchdown

So it was a profitable week, with two plus-money touchdown props cashing in.

Week 5 against the New England Patriots is lined up to be a lower-scoring game, with a current over/under of 45.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook. But the way the Lions’ offense is rolling, even down a key player or two again, surpassing an implied total of 20 or 21 shouldn’t be too difficult.

Hoping for another profit-bearing week, here are our three best prop bets for the Lions against the Patriots in Week 5.

3 best prop bets for the Detroit Lions vs. the Patriots Week 5

Lions WR Josh Reynolds, Anytime touchdown (+250)

Reynolds has scored in two of the last three games, with at least eight targets and over 80 yards in each of the last two. In between the games he has scored in, he had six catches for 96 yards against the Vikings in Week 3.

The possible return of Amon-Ra St. Brown on Sunday is a possible fly in the scoring ointment here, but St. Brown only missed Week 4 as Reynolds has emerged as another trusted target for Jared Goff.

A Reynolds touchdown bet may not be substantial plus-money much longer. But I’ll take it this week.

Lions RB Jamaal Williams, First team touchdown scorer (+280)

Williams leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns (six) and carries from close to the goaline, and he’s got at least one more game as the Lions lead back coming to him with D’Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) out.

The Patriots are the only team in the league that has not allowed a rushing touchdown to a running back yet this season. But Williams is lined up to break that seal on Sunday, and he has scored the Lions’ first touchdown in two other games this season (Week 1 and Week 3).

Jamaal Williams, First touchdown scorer (+650)

Not only has Williams scored the Lions’ first touchdown twice this season, those touchdowns were also the first touchdown of the game for either team. So I’ll double down here.
