Here are the Detroit Lions first half highlights from Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.

The Detroit Lions were favored in Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders for most of the week, until right before kickoff according to Darren Rovell of Action Network. So their streak without being favored in a game extends to 15 games.

The Lions outgained the Commanders 162-40 in the first quarter, on their way to a 12-0 lead. All three facets made plays to shift field position and put Washington on its heels.

Here are the Week 2 first half highlights for the Detroit Lions, as they look to put a mark in the win column against Washington.

Detroit Lions first half highlights vs. the Commanders

Aidan Hutchinson wasted little time to get his first career sack.

Amon-Ra St. Brown set his career-high with a 49-yard catch and run.

Austin Seibert made a 35-yard field goal to open the scoring.

D’Andre Swift’s ankle looked fine on a 51-yard run.

Charles Harris strip-sacked Carson Wentz for a safety.

Jared Goff made a nice throw on the move to St. Brown for a 13-yard touchdown.

Seibert with another field goal, this one from 48 yards out, to extend the Lions’ lead to 15-0.

Hutchinson with his second sack, and an appropriate song was played in Ford Field right afterward.

Goff hit Josh Reynolds for a three-yard touchdown (someone call former Lions wide receiver and CBS analyst Nate Burleson–“toe drag swag” alert). After Seibert’s extra point, 22-0 Lions.

With less than six minutes to go in the first half, the Commanders finally got their first first down.

Wentz is clearly off his game. If he makes more throws like this, the Lions’ secondary will have some interception opportunities.

Hutchinson notches his third sack of the half.
