3. DE Aidan Hutchinson

Hutchinson will probably only play the prescribed quarter or so for Lions’ starters Friday night, but he’s automatic must-watch in his first NFL game. The stadium will certainly will certainly be filled with No. 97 jerseys.

He has delivered on early expectations so far in camp. While there will surely be a replay of his rendition of “Billy Jean” as captured by “Hard Knocks” cameras as his rookie show during a team meeting during Friday night’s game, the focus will now move to his on-field performance. Getting out of the first preseason game healthy is also a maximum priority.

The Lions’ new defensive scheme will be worth watching as a whole Friday night, regardless of who is playing, as some position battles get the limelight of game action. But Hutchinson is going to be the headline attraction.

If Hutchinson gets a sack or makes any other impact plays against Atlanta, the crowd at Ford Field will explode.
