Heading toward draft season, here are the top 5 Detroit Lions for fantasy football in 2022.

The NFL offseason continues to drag on, with training camps still a few weeks away. This means  we are right around the corner from the time when most fantasy football leagues will hold their drafts for the upcoming season. As it pertains to the Detroit Lions, there are a few very interesting options fantasy managers may have their eyes on.

The Lions are still in the midst of a roster rebuild. As a result, they have a very young roster. And by extension, their fantasy-relevant players are also very young. So there’s potential to look toward in keeper and dynasty leagues as well.

However, despite all the young and exciting talent on this Lions offense, there is one giant question mark that must be taken into account.

Jared Goff.

Last season, Goff’s poor play was well documented. For the first two-thirds of the season, he was borderline unplayable for Detroit. Part of that has to do with the awful hand he was dealt, but he only made the situation worse for the Lions’ offense as a whole.

The glimmer of hope came late in the season. Over his final five starts, interrupted by a positive COVID test and a sore knee, he had a 107.1 passer rating with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Let’s take a look at the top five Detroit Lions players for fantasy football in 2022, with a focus on re-draft leagues.
