The Detroit Lions have announced their training camp schedule, with nine practices that will be open to fans.
Last week we found out when the Detroit Lions will report to training camp. Rookies will report on July 23, with veterans to follow on July 26. On Tuesday the team announced camp will start on July 30, with nine practices that will be open to fans.
Two sessions are open exclusively to season ticket holders, on July 30 and Aug. 5, with the other free and open to all fans. All practices, other than an afternoon session on Aug. 8, are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m local time.
Gates will open an hour before practice starts. Daily capacity will be limited, in order to maximize the fan experience, and once that threshold is reached gates will be closed to additional guests.

The Lions won’t host any joint practices at Allen Park. But they will have joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts prior to the preseason game for the two teams in Indianapolis on Aug. 20.
