Trade:
Detroit Lions Receive: Pick No. 4 and Pick No. 10 (2022)
New York Jets Receive – No. 2 & 32 overall pick (2022)

This trade would be quite the swing. This happens if the Jets feel they need to get to No. 2 to get the guy that they really want. Detroit and New York both have pressing needs on the defensive line and if the Jets think that the Lions or Texans are going to take the guy that they want, they will have to pay a steep price to get the guy their guy in the form of the 10th pick. New York could really want Travon Walker or Kayvon Thibodeaux. In that scenario, it could be worth moving up to secure one of them.

In this scenario, Detroit sends this year’s extra first-round pick from the Stafford trade to New York to secure two top-10 picks. They’d entertain this if they don’t feel they have a slam-dunk option at No. 2 and want to move down. Picks No. 4 and No. 10 could yield an impact player for each side of the ball–maybe even a wide receiver at 10.

Drafttek’s draft pick value chart makes his trade look very palatable. The No. 2 (2,600) and 32 (590) picks have combined value of 3,190 points. Picks No. 4 (1,800) and 10 (1,300) are a combined 3,100 points.
