Pick Analysis. player. 50. Scouting Report. WR. Western Michigan. Skyy Moore. 66

For a big chunk of last season, after coming back from an injury, Moore was one of the most productive wide receivers in college football. Over a 10-game stretch from Sept. 18 through the end of the regular season, he had 88 receptions for 1,225 yards and 10 touchdowns (four touchdowns in one game).

At a glance, Moore might seem like too close a replica to Amon-Ra St. Brown and the need a wide receiver by the time the draft comes might be covered by taking Dotson. But the value was too good to turn down here, and the Lions need weapons.

player. S. Illinois. Kerby Joseph. 97. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 50

The Lions also need help at safety, and if Tracy Walker departs in free agency the need may be even greater heading into the draft.

After being buried on the depth chart and bouncing between defensive back and wide receiver a bit for three seasons at lllinois, Joseph had a breakout season in 2021 (57 total tackles, five interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups). A strong week down at the Senior Bowl has him adding positive buzz. There’s a chance he’s not here at the end of third round come April, but here and now he’s the slam-dunk pick for Detroit.

Fourth Round

Right now, the Lions don’t have a fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft.
