Amon-Ra St. Brown is getting plenty of accolades for his recent work, and Pro Football Focus has noticed him at the conclusion of the 2021 fantasy football season.

From Week 13-17, also known as the stretch run in most fantasy football leagues, Amon-Ra St. Brown posted 43 receptions for 451 yards and four touchdowns. That’s the second-most catches in the NFL over that span, and the fifth-most yards over that span. Pro Football Focus also gave him the third-best overall grade among all wide receivers over that span (87.0).

Four times in that five weeks, St. Brown was a top-six fantasy wide receiver in full PPR. Even in his “down” week (eight catches for 73 yards in Week 14) he was WR26. In Week 17, just shy of someone’s full bold prediction (thanks Ja’Marr Chase), he finished as WR2.

Pro Footballl Focus’ Ian Hartitz has unveiled some awards for the 2021 fantasy football season– Most Valuable Fantasy Player, Rookie of the Year, Best Championship Game Performance and Most Improved Player and Best Fantasy Comeback.

St. Brown was among the three nominees for “Best Fantasy Comeback”, qualified as a double-digit difference in PPR points per game between Week 1-8 and Week 9-17 and at least four games played in each stretch, with Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner and New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore.

Here’s what Hartitz wrote, naming St. Brown the winner.

"Credit to both Conner and Moore for recording many productive weeks during the second half of the season, but unfortunately, neither was healthy enough to suit up during the majority of the fantasy playoffs. The same can’t be said for St. Brown, who was nothing short of masterful during his final five games of the season despite being forced to catch passes from Jared Goff and Tim Boyle:Week 13: 8 receptions-86 yards-1 TD, PPR WR6Week 14: 8-73-0, WR26Week 15: 8-90-1, WR6Week 16: 9-91-1, WR6Week 17: 8-111-1, WR2St. Brown (43) had more receptions than anybody other than Kupp (46) during this span. The Lions’ rookie slot maven proved that PPR scoring can be great for managers that identify true target hogs, even if they happen to be operating inside anybody’s idea of a true bottom-five real life offense."

St. Brown also got an honorable mention for best fantasy championship game performance, with 33.4 PPR points against the Seahawks in Week 17. As he continues to put up numbers and set records, a fake football award is a nice little icing on the cake.
