Seventh Round

Pick Analysis. Western Kentucky. 236. player. 50. Scouting Report. WR. Jerreth Sterns

Sterns followed Zach Kittley from Houston Baptist to Western Kentucky for the 2021 season, and to say he produced big as the No. 1 target for fellow draft prospect Bailey Zappe would be an understatement. The 5-foot-9 inch Sterns has posted 137 catches (second in FBS) for 1,718 yards (second in FBS) and 14 touchdowns (tied for third in FBS) this season. He was named Second Team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America and the Associated Press.

Sterns has accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game. So any mystery about declaring for the draft as a fourth-year junior is gone. The Lions take a shot in the seventh round on a wide receiver here.

Pick Analysis. Iowa. Riley Moss. player. 50. Scouting Report. CB. 249

Despite missing two-plus games with a PCL injury, Moss won Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten honors this year, along with being named a Third Team AP All-American. He has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

A deep class of cornerbacks and concerns about that torn PCL, which he acknowledged wasn’t 100 percent after he returned to action, drops Moss to the final round. The Lions will gladly take a flier.
