Lions fans haven’t had much to cheer about on Sunday, but former All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay got a touchdown for the Eagles.
At the end of the three quarters Sunday, the Detroit Lions laid an absolute egg on their way to trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 38-0. The Eagles offense has been doing plenty, but former Lions cornerback Darius Slay got in on the scoring binge late in the third quarter with a scoop and score off a D’Andre Swift fumble.

In seven seasons with the Lions, Slay had one touchdown (off an interception, and the only touchdown of his NFL career). Prior to Sunday, he had recovered two fumbles in his career. So the two things combined stands as a rarity for him, spurring reaction from Lions’ reporters on-site at Ford Field.
Oh, hi, Darius Slay. Of course he scored a touchdown today. Someone punched the ball out of Swift's hands, and Slay was there. You know that one feels good, no matter where Quinntricia is right now.

Darius Slay gets himself a touchdown at Ford Field.

Wonder if he'll mail that ball to Matt Patricia.
The Lions’ fans left in attendance had something to cheer about, however briefly and even it was a former star making a play.
The loudest it's gotten all day... former Lion @bigplay24slay picks up a fumble & returns it for a Eagles TD. It's 38-0.

The Eagles’ defense didn’t have to work very hard on Sunday. But Slay got a moment in the spotlight in his return to Detroit, along with his team getting a blowout victory.
