Last week, we took the over in the Lions-Packers game and hit. This week, the Ravens come to town to face a Lions team that’s hung tough against the 49ers and Packers so far. I mean, how brutal is this Lions schedule going to be?

Anyway, the thing you have to like as a Lions fan is this team doesn’t quit. It’s something we saw in the near comeback against the 49ers and something we saw against the Packers even after Green Bay pulled away. That gives me confidence in how I’m betting a team. Not saying the Lions will always fight to the final whistle, but so far that’s the mentality Dan Quinn has instilled in this team and it’s helpful when looking at the odds.

Speaking of which…

Ravens vs Lions spread, moneyline and odds

Currently, WynnBET has the Lions as 8-point underdogs on the spread and the Ravents are 8-point favorites, meaning if you bet the Lions here, you want them to lose by 7 or fewer points (eight would be a push). Or, hey, why not just win the game?!

Speaking of winning and losing, on the moneyline (who will win) the Lions are +310 underdogs and the Ravens are -400 favorites. That means if you bet $10 on the Lions to win and they do, you win $31 (plus your $10 back). If you are going with the Ravens, it’s a $40 bet to win $10.

The over/under (how many points they’ll combine to score) is 49.5, which is similar to last week’s 48.5 o/u against the Packers.

Ravens vs Lions Prediction

I’m not going to sugarcoat it. The Ravens are the better team on paper and should win this game ouright. I picked them as my survivor pool pick across the board because they match up well against the Lions, so take that for whatever you want. But…I will say I think this could be a tough game for the Ravens to dominate, espcially with the Lions at home.

First of all, the Ravens have played two shootouts so far, escaping with a win at home over Kansas City and losing a game they should have won on the road against the Raiders. I don’t think they want a third shootout here, which means they’ll stick to the ground and try to grind the Lions out.

So I’m taking the under on WynnBET, figuring the Ravens will burn clock on the ground. You can turn around and tell me the Lions throw the most of any team in the NFL thus far, but that’s been by neccisity and matchup moreso than who they are, at least in my opinion. I think the Lions will try and run on the Ravens to start the game and, depending on what happens, either stick with it or go to the air in the second half. Either way, I like the under.
