Scouting Report. Oregon. player. 50. Pick Analysis. SS. Jevon Holland. 73

If you are looking for a prospect who’d be a perfect fit for defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, I’d recommend looking at safety Jevon Holland. I can see him being used similarly to how the New Orleans Saints used strong safety, Malcolm Jenkins.

Holland is not only a willing and strong tackler, but he also uses solid technique. What sets him apart from the other safeties is that for how good he is in run support, he’s just as good in coverage. A total of nine interceptions from 2018-2019.

With the NFL moving towards a preferred offense that spreads out the field, having a player like Holland who can play almost everywhere helps combat those 11/12 personnel packages. I think he’ll be a hot commodity come the draft weekend and I doubt he makes it to pick 73. If he does, the Lions should pounce.

He’d start alongside free safety Tracy Walker and safety Dean Marlowe regarding three safety sets. If Detroit does take a chance, he’d be competing for a starting job on day one.
